Tibetan cymbals, or ting-sha, are small prayer bells that were traditionally used in ceremonies in the Himalayan regions, including Nepal, Tibet, and India.
They are often used in meditation, sound therapy, energy clearing of a space, or as a musical instrument. They are also frequently rung at the beginning and end of a yoga class, and ting-sha are excellent for space clearing, dispersing negative energy from the area.
Tibetan cymbals consist of two embossed plates with a dragon design, connected by a leather strap. The inside of the cymbals is engraved with the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum. Tibetan dragons are protectors of Buddhism, whose loud voices awaken us from delusions.
