Composition
Tibetan bowls are made of a blend of seven or more precious metals. Most of them are considered sacred, associated with the planets and celestial bodies of our solar system: copper, bronze, tin, zinc, gold, silver, iron, and lead. Gold symbolizes the Sun, silver is the Moon, lead is Saturn, tin is Jupiter, iron is Mars, copper is Venus. Zinc in this bowl serves an anti-corrosion function.
