Care for the eKO® rubber mat
Daily refresh: To keep your eKO® mat fresh and clean, wipe it down after every workout with Manduka’s mat wash & refresh. Use a clean cloth and dry the mat thoroughly before rolling it up or using it again.
Monthly restoration: To maintain the eKO® mat's performance, use Manduka’s natural rubber yoga mat restore once a month. Leave the cleaning agent on the mat for 5 minutes, then gently wipe it with a clean cloth and let it dry before using or rolling it up again.
Thorough cleaning: For a deep clean, use Manduka botanical mat cleaner.
Important precautions:
- Do not wash eKO series mats in a washing machine, as this can damage them and enhance the degradation of the rubber layer.
- Do not soak or submerge eKO series mats in water.
- Do not use the salt method for eKO series mats.
- Using the eKO® mat in hot conditions can lead to drying out of the rubber and deterioration of its properties. In such conditions, use the restoration spray more often to maintain the mat's performance.
- Before placing the mat on the floor, make sure both it and the floor are absolutely dry. Otherwise, the color of the mat may transfer to the floor.
Storage: Do not leave the yoga mat under direct sunlight. If the mat is wet, let it dry before rolling it up. To preserve the mat's properties in the long term, store it rolled up in a bag or case, as prolonged exposure to the sun and air can damage the rubber.
