Burning sage is used to achieve a state of healing or to solve spiritual dilemmas. This may also have a scientific basis. Some types of sage, like other plants used in cultural spiritual rituals to enhance intuition, contain thujone. Research shows that thujone is moderately psychoactive.
It is believed that the smoke from white sage clears negative energy, thereby making space for something new.
Characteristics:
Aroma: spicy, sweet, intense, astringent, and resinous.
Bundle weight: 15-20 g
A single sage bundle can be used multiple times.
How to use:
- Before burning sage, it is recommended to set intentions for cleansing in spiritual, energetic purposes. It is important to keep a window open during the ritual, allowing the smoke to exit.
- Ignite one end of the bundle over a fireproof dish on a heat-resistant surface.
- When the flame ignites, carefully blow out the fire.
- The tips of the leaves should smolder slowly without visible flame, releasing thick smoke.
- Continue smudging.
- Extinguish in sand.
- Do not use water, as it will be difficult to relight the sage.
Caution. Be careful when placing and handling the incense, always fully extinguish and do not leave smoldering unattended. Keep out of reach of children. Not intended for consumption.
